Per i bambini a 20 minuti troviamo il parco di Pinocchio: nel paese di Collodi che prende il nome dallo scrittore reso famoso proprio dalle avventure del suo burattino. Vicine anche mete naturalistiche: come la Garfagnana, rinomata anche per la particolarità dei suoi paesini e per i suoi prodotti tipici. Chi è amante della natura può visitare il mondo sotterraneo della Grotta del Vento o il Parco Regionale delle Alpi Apuane dove è possibile passare delle splendide giornate di escursioni montane. Da ricordare anche il Parco Naturale dell’Orecchiella. A circa 30 minuti troviamo il mare della Versilia con le sue note località turistiche.Vicino troviamo anche Carrara con le cave di marmo che ha dato corpo a famose opere artistiche. Nei mesi estivi, si svolgono nei paesi vicini innumerevoli sagre gastronomiche e feste popolari. Nel mese di luglio a Lucca si tiene il Summer festival, famoso in tutta Italia, dove ogni anno intervengono artisti di fama mondiale. Nel mese di settembre e possibile partecipare al Settembre Lucchese; mese di festa per la città di Lucca che ha culmine con “La Luminara”, processione religiosa e civile simbolo della città, che ha luogo la sera della vigilia del giorno di Santa Croce. Da ricordare è anche il famoso Carnevale di Viareggio che viene svolto nel mese di febbraio. Una simile manifestazione si svolge da molti anni anche a Marlia, che riporta tra noi tutta l’allegria delle maschere e dei coriandoli. We cannot forget to mention the Carnival in Viareggio in February and that we also have a similar festival in Marlia, which has taken place four several years, bringing us the joy of masks and confetti.
